Botox Can Make You Look Five Years Younger

In the first large scale analysis of research data on Botox, scientists have found that Botox injections result in patients looking an average of five to six years younger than their current age.

This analysis focused on patients who had been treated with Botox for upper facial lines ("frown" lines between the eyebrows, crow's feet, and forehead lines). Up to 63% of these patients felt they looked younger, compared to just 23% in the control group.

These findings were presented at the American Academy of Dermatology conference.

These findings may be used by dermatologists to assess patient's results with Botox injection and their feelings of treatment efficacy. If patients are happy with the results of Botox, they are more likely to seek additional treatments in the future.
